In Sydney Feral Pigeons are the worst of the pest bird species. They spread many viral, fungal, and bacterial diseases that are harmful to mankind.  We regard them as flying rats.  Their nesting sites harbour many parasites such as lice, mites, ticks, carpet beetles, etc.  Pigeon droppings damage and deface buildings and are very slippery when they are wet, causing people to fall and be injured as a result. OTHER METHODS OF BIRD CONTROL:

Pigeon trapping is another appropriate means of controlling a pigeon population. This method   requires considerable patience to entice pigeons into the trap, and is carried out over several months.
